Er gingen al wat verhalen de ronde, maar nu is het ook wetenschappelijk bewezen. Honden kunnen getraind worden om kanker te ontdekken in iemands adem. Deze training is makkelijk, relatief goedkoop en kan gedaan worden door de meeste hondentrainers.

De honden haalden een hoge score van 90% succes. Dit betekent dat het mogelijk is om met honden een goedkope en snelle manier te hebben om kanker in een vroeg stadium te ontdekken.

Het zal mij benieuwen hoe snel deze methode in Nederland ingevoerd wordt.
